A two storey-house with moon terrace for a newly-wed couple is designed under the consideration of future expansion to adjacent land on the left. The modern architecture style is applied throughout the house according to the clients' preference while keeping the ceilng height as much as possible to render the living spaces comfortable. Playing with a difference of level in different usage of space is another gimmick of design. Taking a look at the focal and mostly preoccupied space of the house,The grand living room, utilizes a 7.7 meters long span of structure to emphasize the grandness of space with a 3.5 meters high ceiling. A seperation of service area made the carefully pondered orientation of the building; positioning the building masses to allow the shadow in the court; more strong and get along well with the landscape around the house. Moreover, the facades in the sun-facing sides are assembled with horizontal and vertical wood batten sun shading elements in various rhythms and also openable in some part corresponding to safety and changes in usage in particular space.
