Set within the Arlington Square Conservation Area this project involved a challenging redesign of the interior and part exterior of this early Victorian Terrace. The original layout was a mess of dark corridors and tight spaces, a classic case of over-development. Taking the decision to create a spacious one bedroom property from a two-bed actually resulted in greater saleability and value. Finding uses for all the odd pockets of space and creating a feeling of openness were key to improving the perception of comfort in this property, changing it from a bunker-like warren of spaces to a light, bright, airy and desirable residence.
